Neurofeedback Guided by Quantitative Brain Mapping and Real-Time Z-Score Training
Chiang Mai's specialist neurofeedback clinic since 2012
We record your brain’s electrical activity using a full 19-channel QEEG and compare it against an FDA-cleared normative database to identify exactly where your brain deviates from healthy patterns.
From this analysis, we design neurofeedback training protocols targeted specifically to what your brain map reveals — not a generic, one-size-fits-all approach.
Every session uses real-time Z-score feedback to guide training with precision, and progress is tracked with follow-up assessments so you can see measurable change.

Our approach
Step 1: Brain Assessment We begin with a 19-channel QEEG recording and compare your results against the NeuroGuide normative database — an FDA-cleared, age-matched reference. This tells us precisely which brain regions and networks are over- or under-active, and how they correlate with your symptoms.
Step 2: Protocol Design Using swLORETA source analysis, we look beyond surface-level patterns to identify dysregulation at specific cortical sources. Your training protocol is built from this data, targeting the exact frequencies, sites, and connectivity patterns that need correction.
Step 3: Training During each session, real-time Z-score neurofeedback guides your brain toward normative values across multiple metrics simultaneously — amplitude, coherence, and phase. You watch your progress on screen as it happens.
Step 4: Progress Tracking We reassess with follow-up QEEGs so improvement isn’t subjective. You see before-and-after brain maps showing measurable change.

What to Expect
Your first visit is a QEEG brain assessment — a painless, 30-minute recording wearing a sensor cap. Within a few days, you’ll receive a detailed report mapping your brain’s activity patterns against normative data, along with a clear explanation of findings and a recommended training plan.
Training sessions last around 30 minutes, typically scheduled 3–4 times per week. Most clients complete 20–40 sessions depending on their goals and the complexity of their presentation. You’ll know early whether the training is working — changes in sleep, focus, or mood are often reported within the first 10 sessions.

About Us
Chiang Mai Neurofeedback Center has operated from Nimman since 2012. We use BrainMaster Discovery amplifiers, NeuroGuide normative databases, and swLORETA source analysis — the same tools and methods used in published clinical research.
We work with both English- and Thai-speaking clients and provide all clinical reports in both languages. Our clients range from children with ADHD and learning difficulties to adults managing anxiety, PTSD, insomnia, and TBI recovery, as well as professionals seeking cognitive performance optimization.
Located in Chiang Mai, we offer the same level of assessment and training available at top clinics in the US or Europe — at a fraction of the cost.
How Neurofeedback Changes Your Brain
Neurofeedback trains the brain through operant conditioning — when your brain produces healthier patterns, it receives immediate feedback, reinforcing those patterns over time. This is not relaxation training or meditation. It is targeted, measurable change in how your brain regulates itself.
Clients typically report improvements in sleep quality first, often within the first few sessions. Attention, emotional regulation, and stress tolerance follow as training progresses. Because protocols are guided by your QEEG data, we’re not training blindly — every session targets specific metrics like coherence, amplitude, and phase relationships across defined brain networks.
